Ms. Clela King

The Native-speaking English Teaching (NET) Scheme provides one NET teacher per Hong Kong school, with the threefold objective of working to develop best curriculum and teaching practices, providing access to professional development for local English teachers, and presenting opportunity for authentic communication in English to the student body.

My name is Ms. Clela King and I am excited to become a member of this vibrant school community at Hong Kong Red Swastika Society Tuen Mun Primary School. With many years of teaching experience in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), I hope to become a key resource person to the English panel while simultaneously satisfying the objectives of the NET Scheme.

Above this, I hope to successfully collaborate with English teachers to further develop children’s literacy fundamentals that will better prepare them for their future academic and work careers. Hopefully this can be carried out through methods that are interesting to students so that they will perceive English learning as something fun.
